Tonight we had a wonderful Family night. We went to the Bynam Children's festival and really had a great time. I have a soft spot for this school, they provide education, job skills, life skills for special needs children. I am so blessed to have healthy kids, but I feel strongly about there being a place for any and all kids. I want Wyatt and EJ to know there are differences in us, yet we are all children of God and His perfect treasure.

The kids immediatly walked in and went straight to Greenie the Clown for face painting. Wyatt wanted a shark and to no surpise EJ wanted to be a princess. Then we headed over to the balloon man for a bow and arrow and princess wand. We had a great time on the bouncies, and to my surprise Wyatt can hit the ball... They had the UTPB baseball team out there helping little kids and I walked over and he nailed every one. I think we might sign up for T-ball instead of soccer!

They had a little teeny bopper concert, EJ was up and dancing or in awe of the girls on stage. Kids are so funny, the little girls all know the songs and sing along. Emily June has the "Doss" blood in her on wanting to be on stage. They called Wyatt up to help sing, he started then freaked out (just like his mommy!) but she ran up there instead and loved every minute.. in fact we could not get her off stage and she kept trying to get back on. I just hope her stage does not involve a pole! Seeing these little girls on stage makes me want to take her out of dance (which she starts next week) and keep her young and innocent!

We left tired and full of good memories!

We had a wonderful celebration today. I have said this before and mean it .. we are just Blessed. In three years, EJ has brought us so much joy, laughter, and love. She is a free spirit and so determined at anything she does. She keeps us on our toes, she is outgoing, never meets a stranger (does worry me at times) and has a smile that can light up a room. Thank you so much for the wonderful joy you bring me.

Her party was at Flippen bounce, a huge gym outside of town. It was great, no rules.. just let the kids run free for 2 hours. The cake was amazing, cutest things I have ever scene. Skeet's secretary did it and is one talented girl! Emily June loved the attention, loved her friends and she loved the gym. (as well as teh Daddy's who played in the foam pit as well... )I guess this means we will have gymnastics in our future.

We ended the night at a Japanese hibachi grill... Zach and I thought it would be fun and different. WRONG! She was terrified, the waiter made a bad joke about how if you get too close all your hair will fall out like his (he was bald) and she lost it... So we ended up at a table in the bar area, far away from the grill watching cage fighting... memorable dinner, will not make that mistake again.

Better! Rodeo and part one of Birthday fun!

Happy Birthday Sissy! I picked up Wyatt a little early so he could join in our little celebration.

Her table and sweet friends.

EJ and her best friend, Marissa.. They remind me so much of me and my Emily... only that was almost 30 yrs ago.

Rodeo time!

January has flown by, I guess when you are sick for two weeks you sudden realize the rest of the world is still functioning! I will make sure to get the flu shot next year... that was miserable!

Last weekend we headed to the rodeo, that was a surprise to me. I thought Wyatt would love it, an EJ would be restless and bored. Wrong. Wyatt was done after he ran out of cotton candy (after nachos) and EJ did not move for almost two hours. I have never scene her sit that still. She was in awe. She loved the calf roping an steer wrestling.. what happened to the barrel racing and clowns?! Wyatt lost interest and did perk up for the nickel dig, he liked to be in the arena, but was a little uncertain about making sure the bulls were not going to be in the arena with him... WE tried to leave and EJ threw a fit, she was not going anywhere... Wyatt was falling asleep in my lap. Such different children!

WE will celebrate EJ's third birthday this month, so hard to believe! I will not have a toddler anymore, which is sad to me. I will have two "kids." I guess they will always be my babies.
Although, she is way beyon the sweet baby phase!
A girlfriend told me the other day "Emily June looks so sweet..."
My reply, "Good, that it point.. bc she really is not sweet right now!"
I say that with love. She has been one sassy, talking back little girl. Nothing seems to phase her... so I am praying it is the phase she is in, Zach and I are about to pull our hair out on what to do with her... and try not to laugh at her drama.

I had Wyatt's teacher conference today, he received all "E's" on everything except counting to 20. Which was weird to me bc he always counts and knows his numbers... So in the car, I asked him to count.. he did and counted to 20.. except forgot 17, I asked him again... he did the same thing, but left out 16... so I guess we will work on including all the numbers. His sweet teacher said he was a well behaved child, as she said that he threw a toy across the room . Really?!
