Staying cool

Trying to find alternatives to being outside... it is HOT in Midland, Texas. One afternoon we decided to pop in on Mom.. I know she did not get much work done, but we had a good time.



Bug and the boys headed to the pool....June seems to be one of the boys.. I am hoping this year at FP she will actually have some girl friends and not get so excited about motorcycles and airplanes.. but dolls and sweet girly things! Doubtful with her entourage.

Crossfit baby

Zach has been doing awesome at Crossfit. He has lost about 3 sizes and 30 lbs... not to mention his strength and attitude are so much stronger. (I wish I could say the same about my sizes, but I do love the mental and challenge of it everyday.) The program is addicting, can you tell?! The kids love the gym and June seems to really interested in doing anything athletic... Wyatt wants to know about the cars in the parking lot! Whatever makes them happy! (You can join anytime.. Saturdays are free open workouts!)

Summer Fun..

Buddies.. Brock, Wyatt and Locker

Last week everyone had a good time swimming at Papa B's. Wyatt was terrified of getting in the water, then realized he was missing out when all of his buddies were jumping in and having a good time splashing around. He started swim lessons last week and what a different a wonderful, patient teacher makes. I am positive I would never be able to home school, bc my children do not listen to me.... I think I am just noise they have already learned to selectively tune out!

Relief

Emily June Doss.. hours old. Mommy still looks like the drugs are in her system!

I have been looking for pictures of Emily June from her birth at the hospital... I have been so behind / disorganized on putting baby books together I knew one day I would have to tell her, "Sorry honey, we only have 1000 pictures of your brother at birth, but lost the few we had of you!" Thank goodness for my mom! I found this one on her facebook page and immediately saved it to my disk. The kids looked nothing alike at birth so I could not pawn off one baby for another! Why do they grow up so quick? I can hardly remember her being that small and she has changed so much. Yesterday we were at Target and there was a little girl throwing a temper tantrum in her cart and EJ looked over at her and yelled, "HUSH!" Yes, she is 17 months old.. I thought it was funny, but the mother of the screaming child did not find it so amusing! She loves to sing, Zach taught her "You are my sunshine" and she walks around with the sweetest voice singing "Sunshine."

Latenight hangover!

We have not been on our schedule this summer for bedtime and it is starting to take a toll on my kids. This morning Zach took this picture and it looks like a bad late night hangover.
