Mom has treated us to the second annual trip to the Hyatt for Wyatt's birthday. It is a birthday treat we all enjoy! This year we figured it out. We brought our own sand toys, did not plan anything outside of the resort, and brought our own bottle so wine (and opener.. forgot that last time) for evening conversation! The kids literally got out of the car, ran to the room changed and were in the pool. They stayed in the pool every minute they could until Sunday at 11 when we had to check out. I taught Wyatt how to "relax" instead of paddling around and trying to beat everyone on the lazy river.. I told him relaxing was just sitting back and enjoying the time together. This morning before we left we took one last cruise around the river and Wyatt was floating this time and next thing I know he is telling this teenager next too us (who is kicking as hard as he can to get around fast) "Young man, you need to relax!" I said to Wyatt, "What is relaxing again?" His reply, " Sitting back, not doing anything and drinking a beer!" I have no idea where he got the beer part from unless he observed everyone else yesterday. What a difference a year makes.. last year he was terrified.. this year could not get him out of the water. EJ had a great time as well, she played in the baby pool until she wore herself out. She is more independent than Wyatt and just kept herself busy with toys and friends in the pool.
Sat and Sun the kids were both up at 6AM wanting to go to the pool, it opens at 8 and we were the first ones there... it seems everyone else was enjoying their sleep and comfortable beds. Saturday we were up at the pool probably before 8, had margaritas and lunch at 11, Spa treatment at 12... naps from 12-2 back to the pool, playground then the movie night on the lawn... of course it was Cars. It does not get much better than that! Thank you Meema!
You might notice Zach is not in any of the pictures, bc it was a girls trip! He had a wonderful guys weekend filled with golf, friends, beer, world cup and relaxation. I promise he had just as much fun as we did. It was nice to come home to a clean house though! So easy when you do not have the kids destroying it every time you turn around.
