Wyatt is 3! Hard to believe, it seems like yesterday when I was in labor for 23 long hours. I had no idea how rewarding being a mom would be at that time... and it just gets better and better! Today, was the big birthday party and also the one time it decides to rain in Midland. It literally has not rained in months and months.. so we cannot complain about the rain! It did not stop the fun, we had a great time inside and outside. Papa rented a big train bouncy for the kids and it was a slippery, wet, mess.. but a lot of fun! Thank you to all the special friends and family that celebrated with us. Oh, and we are potty trained ( for the most part..so that is the best present for mommy!)

Can I begin with Wow! It has been three years today... (Wyatt's birthday is today!) that I have gotten away for a girls only weekend! Why did I not do this sooner?! It was so relaxing, so rewarding, and so uplifting. I have known my best friend Emily since we were 4, when we were younger we were inseperable. Her family is my family. We would called each other every day before school and matched.. or planned it out the night before... I have always said I hope my Emily June will have an "Emily" in her life. I have only the best memories growing up with the Elias clan and now we get to celebrate having another Elias... alright two! It does not get much better! Alicia will be our newest Elias family member on July 17 and we then will look forward to the arrival of another new Elias when their baby arrives in November.

The weekend was filled with love, laughter, and fun. Every year since we were about 5 or 6 we would take a float trip, canoe trip, or some summer adventure with the Elias family. As kids life was so much fun.. and I forgot just because I have kids now the fun should never stop! Emily and Ryan have a beautiful house across the street from the beach in Port A... the first night it was just 5 of us and we still all slept in the same rooms so we would not be apart! Saturday, Alicia and her family came up and then Chad and Ryan came out to take us on a "boat" ride. Mom kept telling me she was a little worried about eveyone (15 people) fitting on the boat, but Emily forgot to tell me there is no just "boat" about it! Ryan does competitive deep sea fishing so it is a 40 ft boat with an two bedroom house basically underneath.. Which is perfect bc it has two bathrooms, AC, sat TV for the kids, and a kitchen to enjoy a few drinks. (nothing like nasty Deadlest Catch boats of what I would imagine.. when you talk about fishing.) Needless to say, it was a beautiful night, we cruised thru the bay and around the island.. there were so many dolphins and it is magical watching the sun set and moon reflect off the ocean. I feel so fortunate to be around people who love you unconditionally.. I know that is a blessing. It would not matter if we were on a canoe, tube or fishing yacht, it always turns out to be the best weekend of the year.. a weekend of positive fun and a lot of laughter. I am hoping to take the kids back this summer so they can play in the sand and enjoy the beach as much as I do.

Wyatt did turn 3 today.. can you believe that? We are celebrating his birthday next Saturday so that will be a good time with lots of fun and sugar!

Zach had the kids for the first time this weekend.. all weekend! I think it was just as good for him to have the alone time with the kids. I know they had a great weekend, filled with lots of activities and the best part.. when I got home the house was clean and my car was detailed. Happy Mother's DAy to me!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day.. I feel so blessed to be the mom of my babies.
