Happy Halloween!

Papa and Wyatt
Pirate Braden, sweet Baryn, Junebug and Zach (June loved Baryn's poodle ears! )

Princess Gracie, Pirate Quentin (great job on makeup Curtis!) and Wyatt the frog

It is just me!

My dad brought this mask down and I thought I would take this picture for Jenn... she loves Bush so much I knew this would make her smile! JK Don't worry Jenn.. June screamed her head off too when she saw it! We love you!

Despite Wyatt being a little under the weather today, we still had a good Halloween. Wyatt wore his frog outfit all day.. even to the Dr's office. We went trick-er-treating at mom's office, and Wyatt was so cute.. A couple of people said, " Wyatt take more..." And he replied, " No thank you, I have plenty." Where he got that I have no idea, but he had a good time. I do not think he really grasped he was going to get all the candy when we started bc after a few he said "Ready to go home now..." I knew he wanted to go home to eat the candy.

June did great, she wanted no part of the hood on her costume (Thanks to Skeet and Nini) but she sure enjoyed the ring pops she found in her basket! She is just easy and goes with the flow... We did miss our pumpkin patch picture this year, but we will make it up next year!

We are headed to Lubbock in the morning.. Jenn and Ryan bought tickets and we are all going together so it should be a good time! Hal (Jenn's dad) is the ultimate tailgater so I am sure we will feel like we are in college for at least a few hours!

More Happy Halloween!

Halloween dinner... June style
Happy Halloween!

Cannot forget the car...he should of been a car!

Trick or treating at Meema's office

Mother in law of the year and Girls night

Happy Birthday ZACH! Mom surprised him with tickets to the Texas Tech vs. Texas game tomorrow night. Zach has wanted to go soooo bad, but could not find tickets. He keeps telling me... "This is huge, ESPN "Game Day" is there, there are three Heisman trophy candidates, number one team vs top ten team...etc!" So, we are both excited to support our red raiders.

Last night we had a girls night.. we had a wonderful time and what a difference in your attitude when you get a night out with the girls. Katherine is about to pop with precious baby Jack, Laura looked like a hot pregnant momma, Janai always provides a good laugh, Jenn Yeager is full of all the info we want to know, Darby all the good gossip, Mauri always so sweet... so thanks girls for a wonderful night.

Wyatt is still sick.. I am taking him in to see his doctor and he wants to wear his Halloween outfit so we are going as a frog.

Sweet Sam

Laura does not have a blog, so I feel the need to show off her precious Sam. These are his 1 yr pictures and looking at his face just makes me smile. Is he not the cutest thing?! She is due in early Spring with a little girl... yes, three under three... so I guess she has an excuse for not having a blog!
Sally took these pictures as well, we love Sally bc she is soo good with the kids...

It is officially time for a doll

I cannot figure out how Wyatt knows so much about cars?!

I realized this weekend at Betsy's house that June does not know what a baby doll is. She found one in Gracie's room and started loving on it...needless to say I felt horrible. Tonight confirmed it when she is reading 1960's cars book with Daddy and Wyatt. It is obvious cars have taken over our house and she loves to play with them.. but I think she deserves a sweet doll instead of matchbox cars! No need to worry, she will have a picture up pretty soon with her new baby doll.

My Grandmother... a true icon

(I took the first picture out bc I thought she looked pain and deadish... not her at all!! So, I will find a better one!)

Mom went to see my Grandmother this weekend and every visit amazes us. As a little girl, I use to spend the summers up at my grandmother's house and have only the best memories of our time together. As I got older, I realized what an incredible woman she is. She started off in a covered wagon as a child and lived in a period where women had no rights and if you did work you were a nurse or school teacher. She broke the mold in almost every way... she was not the typical soft spoken lady.. she went to college, was an incredible athlete (went to the Olympic trials to compete against Babe Dickerson), started her own grain elevator business, was a fantastic (yet hard nosed!) teacher and coach and could not learn enough in life. She has taught me over the years to get an education, have a relationship with Christ, and be the best mother I can be. She is truly amazing. I often wonder what it would be like to start off in a covered wagon and see what the world is today. To live thru the great depression, so many presidents, wars, landing a man on the moon, cell phones... and then all the trash that goes along with our society today. She is now 94 and still has all her "wits" about her and has no problem telling you how it is! It seems when we get together we always end up playing cards... not to popular these days among families... but we have so many memories and great family time together. I love you grandma and I am so glad my kids get to know you.

The rest of the week...

Well, since Wednesday it has felt like an entire week.. not a few days. We did attempt to get a family picture done and sweet Sally came over as scheduled (for months) and I now know the 4th reason people get divorced. I have heard the first three are finances, religion, building a house, and number 4-taking a family picture. What a nightmare... I did this bc growing up I only had one family picture with my mom and dad...now I know why. I tried as hard as I could to pre-plan the location, the outfits, and just being ready... The only thing I did not pre-plan was the terrible two's! Wyatt was mad before the session even started, Zach was mad that Wyatt was throwing a fit, and June was teething and mad at the world as well. Sally left and did not have but 4 proof able pictures and lets just say it was a great reflection of our year.. but all I wanted was the perfect "Christmas card" picture. The few we had Wyatt is crying, June has her hand in her mouth, Zach has a stern look, and I am just smiling... pretending nothing is going on..this is the real "Christmas card" picture. Sweet Sally is coming back on Tuesday to take pictures of the kids only!

We had a pretty good weekend... Friday night we had a fun tailgate party and there were so many kids, I was busy the entire time trying to locate Wyatt and make sure he was alright. Having big family parties are so much fun... but you never really get a chance to talk to the other moms.. except for a "hi.. how are you.." in passing of searching for each other's kids! So, for each family party needs to be an adult party to catch up with each other!

Today we went to early church..( great sermon about the upcoming election if anyone wants to hear it is on-line) and went to Baby Brinin's first birthday party. This my girlfriend Betsy's third baby and it seems like the last year has flown by. It made me sad to see just how quick they grow up. June is 9 months and this week alone she is trying to walk, she did finally say "maama", and cut one tooth. What happens next week?!
