End of the School Year and Summer Fun!
My summer fun began with a girls weekend to Port A.. Every mom needs a break with their best friend, I could blog about all the fun I had but this blog is for the kids! I just have to say I love my girl time.
So the end of the school year is bittersweet.. I am glad the kids will be home with me all summer, but sad to know next year they will be going 5 days. Where did time go?! The kids has great year end parties and programs, and Wyatt got his official summer cut. Not my choice, Zach insisted. I prefer his hair.

I love being a Mom...I do feel it is my greatest calling at this point in my life and feel so blessed to have two perfect,beautiful children whom I can stay home and raise. (Ha!) As a mom on Mother's day you want to look just perfect. So I had the outfits laid out for church.. precious matching plaid.. Wyatt with the pants and EJ in the dress. I knew the morning was not going to go magically smooth.. we usually have a little confrontation with church clothes with EJ and Wyatt. She wants sass, he want nothing to do with button downs or collars. So I heard Zach say, " It is Mothers Day, you are NOT allowed to give your Mom a hard time." I was grateful. EJ came into my bathroom with her sweet little purse and bible and was ready to go. Wow.. really?! I love mothers day!
So... I drop off the kids at Sunday School and go back to pick up my perfectly well behaved children and Emily June's teacher immediately looks at me and says," We have a problem." Geez. I am wondering what is going on as she looks different and she hands me a plastic bag of underwear. I assume an accident. Not with my daughter. Apparently, when she got to Sunday School she went straight to the bathroom with her purse and told the teacher her panties are "sweaty" and needs to change clothes (She knew she could not have an accident on purpose) The teacher was very confused about this (as would I) and noticed she pulled her Bible out and there underneath was the sparkly shirt and glittery twirl skirt she originally wanted to wear before Z told her she was not allowed to give me a hard time today. Really, my FOUR year old thought this whole thing out in her head. She manipulated me! It was so thoughtful and planned out.. and hid it under the Bible?! Oh, man I am on my knees praying for this girl and her teenage years! She might not be allowed of the house:) But I still love being her mom.. everyday is an adventure!

We had a wonderful Mothers Day lunch at Mom's.. who is the best example of unconditional Love... I have my mom and best friend wrapped up in one beautiful package...

I have to admit, I never wanted a CEC birthday party... I have been to several and it was crazy.. but we actually had a great time and it went smoothly. I decided to have it on a Friday afternoon to avoid the weekend rush and it was perfect. Wyatt wants to do it again next year.. it was so easy, I just might let him!
He has a great birthday it started off with dinner with meema and RW at luigi's, then a birthday Popsicle at school, party at CEC and cake with papa... it was a great day for this 6 year old!

The look.. EJ actually blew out his candles, I though he was going to loose it, but he got himself together. EJ was in trouble.. the sad thing was I could see it coming... not a very nice sister!
