Remodeling is FUN!

Since we have moved into our house the one thing that drives me crazy are the orange cabinets in the kitchen. The house was decorated contempory when we bought it (and looked great ) but it is not my taste. Needless to say my husband left the project up to me and I decided we need new cabinets... so we have endured the smell of stain all week long! Wyatt and June love the construction paper down, bc is an all day art activity. Finally, something June can join in on... Wyatt is facinated with all the tools and paint.. June loves to chew on the markers! Here are a few before and I will send the final product once they finish... but please tell me you like the new better than the old orange!

I have to say this is much easier than moving!!! We finally found a house we are officially calling home for a LONG time...

My baby girl... 6 months

June was ready for a photo shoot this morning and I took advantage. She is getting so big and full of personality!

Handy Manny!

Zach came home today to two big holes in the back yard..thanks to the dogs , so Wyatt decided to help out. Thanks to Handy manny... he has really wanted to help with everything around the house. The shovel was a little heavy, but that did not stop him.. he was determined to make it over to the hole with a little dirt (you can see there was not much but effort there)

Zach found a huge beatle... Wyatt was facinated, he wanted to feed him (despite the fact he was dead, was was determined to bring him back to life.) I wanted nothing to do with the nasty bug!

I am not leaving June out of purpose, it does seem the second children get left behind a little bit...but the picture of her screaming is how she has been the last two days. Did I mention all the steriods for her lungs have really increased her lung capacity..she is loud!

The future Chris Garver

There are not a whole lot of people who know who Chris Garver is, but if I ever win the lotto I will send Zach down to Miami and let him get a dream tattoo by Garver. I guess it is obvious when my son starts wanting to draw tattoo's on himself that we have been watching too many shows about tattoos! Here is my little artist, I hope this does not turn into a permanent thing!

Viva Las Vegas!!

What a weekend! For my birthday Zach took me to Vegas along with some of our closest friends and we had a blast. It was a weekend away from kids and perfect timing.( First, I need to thank the grandparents for watching the kids, it was comforting to know they were in good hands. ) It is hard to believe that out of 6 people we did not take one picture, but we have memories. We traveled with Jennifer and Ryan and Holt and Laura. Laura gets credit for sticking it out... I do not think Vegas is very much fun for a pregnant woman when there is no drinking, smoke everywhere and a lovely 109 outside...so thanks for being a trooper! The rest of us made it up for her. Jennifer is the only person I know that goes into Vegas with a plan... and it apparently worked bc she and Ryan came back with money in their pocket. Zach needs to get on that plan next year and Holt bless his heart... I think he lost it all at the table the last night! The trip was wonderful... Jen and I treated ourselves to the spa Saturday morning ..it was great (except for the fact I officially have age spots)..then off to the roulette tables for me... after a great dinner Saturday night it was a back to the roulette tables...(should of gone to bed instead of back to the tables.)
I have to say I ordered my first and last lobster... I am officially a cheap date from here on out! When they brought the little guy to me he was split open with what Holt and Ryan insisted were spices, I knew they were guts.... Not to mention the red bell pepper was bleeding into the "spices" So that did it for me! I looked over at Laura who ordered the same thing and I thought she was going to loose it...pregnant and guts just do not go together! It was a good laugh, and good experience.
Back to reality tonight.. Wyatt is screaming in his crib "Meema" I guess he was hoping we would stay longer.
