More of June flirting and Friday Fun

Friday Fun

Today the boys came over at the last minute to let out some energy. Out of all the toys they end up playing in the dirt (which was a flower bed until the dogs decided to help out and dig it up for Wyatt to play in!) and my favorite cleaning the playhouse. Brock is the ring leader and is so good about coming up with things to do then Wyatt, Locker, and Hudson follow his lead. Who thought cleaning could be so much fun?! Brock told me a couple of times he was going to "get it very clean for Ack (Zach) bc Ack likes it really clean!" Which is so true.

My sweet baby June might have some competition with boyfriends. Hudson came in today and said her name with the sweetest look on his face (the face of an angel).... and Brock always tells her how pretty she is and checks on her constantly (the guy you want you daughter to date mainly bc he tells on himself too!) . Now Locker?! Having a girl is going to a challenge especially when she is old enough to date at 16! June is 7 months old and already flirting with Locker. She grabs him, smiles at him and he returns the sweet jester with a big hug and kiss. They are pretty darn cute together too! I was hoping Wyatt would be a little protective big brother, but he apparently could care less at this point. Did I mention Sam? He is just beautiful and had a good time swinging today with the gang. See second children do not always get left out!

Good Week

We have had a great week... Wyatt started MDO this week and has wonderful teachers and many familiar faces in his class. They did switch his class this year and I was not happy about it at first bc I wanted him to be with his classmates he has had from the past year that he loves and talks about...but I am sure there is a reason he is in his new class and will have new friends. I had the psycho mom moment when I found out he was not in his regular class, (he is in a younger class) with the fear he would regress to behaviors that we have fought all summer long to break. I guess it took my good friend Jen to remind me that if he is in his older class he will only learn more! I am having such a hard time with the terrible two's... One a positve note, there are several very sweet kids in his class that I hope will teach Wyatt how to share and listen. It is funny how upset you get and defensive when you find out something you initially do not like with your children. I was almost in tears over something I cannot control and is frankly stupid at this point... he is 2. I vow never to be that soccer mom on the sidelines yelling at their kids to "get the ball" and "run faster!"
On Wednesday, Wyatt went to CBS for the first time and loved it. He calls it "church school" and the best part is June is able to go and play with other little girls her age... It was so cute to see her crawling around with other little girls... you can see from my blog she is always around older boys.
We are headed to September fest tomorrow and look forward to a good time with our friends. We had a great Friday with a last minute play date in the backyard.. I will post pictures of the boys.. they are so precious.

I do have a special prayer request this week.. Don (the man who use to live with Zach and is a dear friend of ours) has twin daughters Amy and April who are precious. They found out this week Amy has a brain tumor and will have surgery at MD Anderson on Wednesday of next week. They think it is not cancerous; however, you are never certain until surgery. The twins are so full of life and I know this is only a bump in the road, but please pray for Amy and the entire family.

Labor Day Weekend 2008

We had a great relaxing weekend that was pretty uneventful. This was one of the first times Zach was home and not at a soccer tournament...and I could tell it killed him. The club was in Dallas and had 6 teams and he was texting or on the Internet checking scores almost every minute of the day. So, I know he misses being on the sidelines...but I love the extra time at home! Zach finished June's room with blackout shades and a camera monitor...so I really do not have any more excuses to move her from our room to hers. It is hard bc I feel like Wyatt is so demanding during the day that June gets put to the side or second to what Wyatt wants to do so my time with her at night makes up for that. It is the quiet one on one time that I love. Not to mention we are not planning on having any more, so this is my last baby... I am trying to convince myself! Why is this so hard the second time?!
We had a great dinner Sunday night at Skeet and Nancy's... we stalked Ryan and Jen and they came by with the boys on the golf cart. The boys are so funny together, we went on a golf cart ride to feed the ducks and had a great time with them. Thanks to Skeet and Nancy for great food and lots of entertainment with the boys!
Today was typical, we did go by my mom's this afternoon and Wyatt loves to go on walks with Meema and check the mailboxes. (They have the mailboxes at the end of the street with the big box for packages) Mom was putting on her shoes and I went to fill the boxes with little surprises... it was so cute to see his face when he opened on up and actually found a sucker in one, and little surprises in a few others. This age is so fun and challenging at the same time!
We meet Wyatt's new teacher tomorrow at MDO, then CBS on Wednesday morning, and back to MDO on Thursday. I did sign up to do a mommy and me class with June on Thursday while Wyatt in at school so I am looking forward to a busy week! My goal for MDO this year is to learn how to SHARE!

Fair Game

June now realizes she is mobile..whether it is on the ground or in her scooter chair. Wyatt loves to run into her to get a reaction. Well this weekend he got one, she fought back! She decided she would go right back after him...and her legs are strong! Watch out big brother... she is going to hold her own before long!

On a side note... a family in Midland lost their home this, which happened to be by my Mom's house. It has really bothered him b/c he brings it up all the time. He is extremely worried about the home and wants Manny to come build them a new one. I assured him Manny and the tools would be called and a new one will be built. So you can see he is wearing his handy manny pjs (almost everynight) and reminds me that the "broken" house will be fixed.

Easy Entertainment

If you ever need something to do to get out of the house and it is too hot outside..Lowes is your answer! We learned this a while back from some good friends who took their boys there... Wyatt loves to drive the lawn movers and mini "tractors" (as he calls them) We literally sit there for 30-40 minutes (if time allows) just moving from one riding lawn mower to another. People will walk by and either laugh, give you crazy parent looks, or say " I wish I would of thought of that when my kids were young!" Then we visit the washing machines, kitchens, flowers and off to paint colors (great way to learn colors). So a very cheap entertaining morning! June cannot wait until she can get out of the cart and join, she just laughs at Wyatt trying to drive the machines.
