Where have we been?! Spring is here...

Sorry, I have been bad about updating the blog! I feel like March flew by and here we are the middle of April. I wish we could say April showers are going to bring May flowers, but we are still in a serious drought! I am afraid of the summer ahead...

Today was a good soccer mom Saturday. Zach is coaching Wyatt's soccer team and they actually improving! Thank goodness! Zach is a great coach and has way more patience with the kids than I could ever have. I have gotten a little better about watching,, but it still kills me!

Here is a quick recap of the last two months....

March flew by with a trip to the river to stay with Pam, trip to Dallas to say with Mrs Elias and one night at Great Wolf lodge. I have to say I would move to the hill country in a heartbeat. It feels so good just being there. We took the kids to Greene for the day, went swimming, and ended with roasting marshmallows. Just a wonderful trip together.  It feels good to be at the stage where trips are enjoyable and not just all work!  Kelly and Ryan joined us so it was great to see and spend time with sweet Camille and Pam.

Mom and I have heard so much about Great Wolf Lodge and had to take the kids there.. well, we lasted 24 hours and were ready to leave as fast as we got there! The kids loved it, there is no relaxing at this place. It is like being at chuck E Cheese in the water. I lost the kids twice, had a small panic attack, and the thought of the germs and pedophiles in that place sent me into another one!  Why do all kids look alike in the water?! The outdoors was not opened so we were trapped in the huge hamster bubble! Not my idea of a 5 star vacation, but we were completely spoiled by Disney. The best part, the kids loved it... but the other best part, we checked that off the list! We then had a wonderful visit with Mrs. Elias and EJ and Sarah played nonstop. Always feels like home there.

Oh and Most Important Easter. The reason we are alive, filled with hope and Believe. It was wonderful. A little busy Sunday morning.. we had the Easter bunny visit, then early church, over to Dad's and S&N's for lunch. But we rested well that afternoon! The kids had a good school celebration as well. This year they started to realize there is more to Easter than a big bunny and egg hunt. They know Jesus is Alive and I am more thankful for that than anything else.

Last weekend Wyatt and Zach did their second camp out for Indian guides. They had a ball. They went to Glen Rose and visited the dinosaur park, wildlife park and good old bonding time. Wyatt came back and was officially a "dude." He really did not see interested in my at all, kinda broke my heart a little.
EJ and I went to Missouri for a quick, but wonderful trip to finalize Grandmas death on earth. She grew up in a precious farm town so we were able to relive memories with my mom, cousins and family. There is nothing like family. I came back to Midland feeling loved and blessed.
