How does something so cute get so messy?!

June is the messiest eater I know... she literally gets it everywhere. Now that we are eating baby food she tries to grab the spoon on every bite and feed herself. I have tried giving her another spoon to hold and play with while I feed her, but it did not take long for her to figure out that spoon did not have any food on it. She loves to be messy, she just laughs when it goes everywhere!

She is also crawling now and everyday gets a little faster... today she crawled over to play with Sassy ( we are dog sitting for my dad) and rolled all over her. Sassy loves the attention, but I have to watch out that she does not crush her! June will grab her tail when it is wagging and just laugh...I am so glad we have great dogs in our family.

Mom stopped by tonight to read Wyatt a couple of the books she brought over to him. She always takes time to stop by and really spend quality time with the kids, and gives us a little break. I am forever grateful for her visits and always look forward to seeing her. Anyway, Wyatt has been such a turkey this last week that the minute Mee-ma walks in, he cuddles up in her lap and hugs on her constantly... I am looking at this wondering... how is this possible when I cannot even count the number of times he was in time out today for his behavior?! The magic of Mee-ma.

Good weekend mean bad week?!

I wondered on Saturday after I blogged about what a wonderful day we had if the terrible twos were on their way out. Well, today answered that question for me...NO! This morning Wyatt threw a fit of all fits at Jennifer's. How do you get a 2 year old to listen to you and share? I know it can be done, I don't want to use the excuse he is "two", but really what works? We sat in Jen's time out twice and then continued our expression of disgust outside with Brock and Hudson. So we went home and to bed. I am really looking forward to next week with Mother's Day out starts!

Here is a cute story Jen told me this morning and it makes me laugh! After almost every meal Jen prepares for Brock, he will say "Mommy, thanks for making this wonderful meal." He learned that from his smart Daddy who thanks her for every meal she prepares - no matter how bad it tastes! (sweet husband sweet kid!) Anyway, this morning over French toast Brock says:
"Mommy - I will not thank you for the breakfast, I will thank God...because God makes all things." To which I reply "Yes, God provides the food and Mommy prepares it." And then he says "NO - God prepares it." I tell him OK and we go on eating. Then he asks "Mommy - will God help you clean up the kitchen?" :) Then at lunch he looked down at his plate and then shouted towards to heavens "GOD -THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE BUTTERED NOODLES!!"

He is 2 !

Happy Birthday Dommie!

Happy Birthday to Zach's sweet Grandmother "Dommie." She is 91 years young today and is still going strong! She still drives (in Houston!) and looks like a million bucks where ever she goes. We wish you a wonderful birthday and hope to see you soon.
