Road to Recovery... I hope!

I love that smile!

After getting up every three hours alternating medicine last night I have a new child today. Wyatt is feeling much better and has not had his high fever again. Now, June is feeling worse today and will not leave my side... but I had to admit I love the snuggles and sweetness when they do not feel well!
Today has been a good morning overall.. Wyatt's fever is down, Zach and I did the "hero" workout for crossfit, and two of the sweetest people found out they are expecting! Congrats Molly and Mike and Alicia and Chad!!!! I am so excited for you guys...
(The hero workout is a workout dedicated to a fallen soldier in Iraq. It is one of the toughest workouts, I think this is my first one to do.. but after you read the story of the soldier and his family left behind it motivates you to do your best. Right when you think, " I cannot do it anymore." You find strength in knowing someone died for our freedom. www.crossfit.com)

Not feeling so hot.

Wyatt woke up with a high fever and not feeling well at all. WE went to see my fav Dr and he said he had conjestion and a pretty bad ear infection (Same with June.. but she does not have the high fever.. yet). Today has been rough for my little guy, this afternoon it got to 105. That is high enough to scare me and call Dr N on his cell phone. A year or two years ago we would of been in the ER, I would of probably had a panic attack thinking about my baby's brain boiling at 105... But now we are managing it with medicine every 3 hours and warm baths.. I always thought it was suppose to be cool to bring the fever down, but the nurse told me warm?! I have been freezing my poor kids with their fever. June is not herself either, but she is trying to make Wyatt feel better. She wants to still be around him all the time... you can see Wyatt is just not himself.

Easter this year was wonderful. The Easter festivities started on Tuesday at Mother Day Out with Wyatt's class egg hunt and picnic. He really enjoys his class and all of his buddies, they were so excited.. the first egg hunt of the week... Wednesday at CBS Wyatt learned about what the real meaning of Easter is... he came home yelling, " Jesus is Alive!" I am sure it will all come together for him in the next couple of years. Thursday we died eggs... This is one of those things I do bc I feel like I have to as a mom. I would not want Wyatt or June to say 10 years from now, "Why did you never let me dye eggs?" This was fun for Wyatt but a disaster to clean up.. he started to lick the eggs with die all over them, then June got a hold of a green table on the floor and was foaming green at the mouth. After that ordeal, I did make the smart decision to use plastic eggs for the egg hunt. Friday we took it easy, Zach had his first Sockers game and we all went to support him. The team did really well and won so off to a good start.
Saturday, it was off to the second year of the egg hunt with the Johnson's and McNeel's. This is always chaotic and so much fun. I have about 200 pictures I need to download and post, bc the boys are so cute! June was scared to death of the bunny.. she screamed every time she came near.. which was a lot! Wyatt did find the winning prize egg and picked out a huge art set to take home. I was hoping he would go for the stuffed bunny.. bc the art set is not washable! Saturday night we had a date night and Skeet and Nini watched the kids while Zach and I enjoyed a meal without children! It is funny, bc it is so nice to get away and all have to talk about when we are away is the kids?!
Sunday morning we headed to Papa's for our egg hunt in his house... (the backyard was muddy)As always the grandparents spoiled the kids with candy and more candy. We had a great time at Papa's then to the Doss house for lunch. As you can see Nini always prepares a wonderful meal and has the perfect decorations to accompany it! Ann joined us and then we wrapped it up to two sugar filled children and much needed naps!
I love Easter and I am so grateful for the Sacrifice our Savior has made for us... and hope everyone takes a minute to remember the real meaning.
