Summertime Fun

We are headed down to San Antonio today to visit Shamu tomorrow and then on to Corpus to meet up with my best friend growing up... June's name sake! Emily and I were inseperable growing up and I have only the best memories of us and the Elias family. I hope my kids have an Emily in their lives and a second mother who took care of me as her own.. thanks Ms. Elias! The best memories were the simple things in life, the camp outs, sleepovers, playing outside and playing house with all the cushions from the couch built up like a "house." There was no video games, not a lot of television (except for Punky Brewster!), and toys were made up. Board games were popular and of coarse dress up! I love the simple things...

Wyatt loves to play in the water and since he is my child LOVES sweets..ice cream is a favorite! June sits in her seat and just watches Wyatt...hoping one day to be out there with him.

Wyatt's best buddies

When you ask about my hobbies and I say kids... this is what I am talking about...Most of our play dates include the three amigos (and Baby Hudson, who really is not a baby but still has the label.) Wyatt, Brock and Locker are so cute when they are together. I am fortunate to have Jennifer and Laura as my close friends. In fact, I really think Hudson and Wyatt were bothers in a different life.. they look alike and have the same personality. Poor June is in trouble, b/c other than a few girls around, it is mainly boys everywhere! I still have faith Laura will have a sweet baby girl for her to play with, but probably another boy for her to date/harass!

Bathtime

This is why I always wanted a brother or sister... Wyatt and June love to take bathes together and June thinks everything Wyatt does is funny. He can even squirt her in the face with water from his fish and she still laughs! I hope they always love each other this much.

Zach said he felt a little left out on the blog...so here are a few pictures from this weekend (he is in the gray t-shirt) It is sad we do not have a good family picture, it seems one of us is always behind the camera.

I got this from Janai and Darby's blog... I love reading everyone's blogs and Janai's daily journal of the twins makes me laugh everytime... She has the best outlook on life and is so real about being a mom... I love that. Darby's blog is pure entertainment for me! I never know what she is going to say! Cars and Airplanes

Wyatt loves airplanes so Mom has a wonderful idea Saturday to go out to the CAF museum and needless to say it was a hit! He had so much fun, and it was impossible to get him out of the cockpit of the airplane!

These days June tries so hard to keep up with her brother she adores him and looks up to him every second..not that he feels the same way! It is sad because her favorite toys are the matchbox cars Wyatt is obsessed with and she will work so hard to crawl over and grab one, then Wyatt snatches it out of her hand! One of these days, she will get revenge!

Zach was away this weekend for the last soccer trip with his 92 girls... I think it was hard to let go, but they ended up winning a national title so you cannot ask to end on a better note. (Plus I will really be glad to have the extra time with him!! ) So congratulations to a great coach!
