The JOYS of Christmas Cards

Running away with an evil grin bc she did not want to take a picture! The tears were about to begin... LOVE picture day!
NOT cooperating, it is the EJ show!
Looks so sweet right?! IF you only knew he was squeezing her and they were and screaming a few seconds later! This means you have a great photographer!

Do you just love Christmas cards?! I do, in fact I get so excited to see how much everyone has grown and how cute the cards are (do not even send one if there are not pictures!)... but we all know it is a joke! At least in my house! Christmas card pictures and family pictures are usually the worst day of the year for us. This year was slightly better than our last Family picture but not by much. EJ screamed the entire time, hated her outfit, threw a fit, Wyatt did pretty good.. but did not want to exactly cooperate all of the time with his sister. I look at the pictures and think, "How cute, then I remember the hell of that morning getting that cute picture!" And then there are Christmas letters, I love them, but do not do them.. What and I really going to write about... how perfect my kids are? Or better, how perfect our family is and what good parents Zach and I are?! We can all have a good laugh at that one. I still love to tell when I took EJ in for her well check the Dr. asked me if she knew 25 words, " I replied bad words or good words?" She is my pistol. Wyatt has the best way of making first impressions lately.. he acts like he has lost all bodily function and throws himself on the ground( and he thinks that is hysterical) or my other favorite ...starts acting like a dog and crawling around on the ground. Do you think he is expressing genius material?! Probably, why I do not do Christmas letters. He is 4 everyone says it was the terrible twos, then threes and they get better at 4... really?! When?! We love our life, would not change it for the world but we are by no means perfect or what people to think we are...We try to love like Jesus, and have to admit is hard most days... but we start over everyday with the same attitude.

These are a few of the pictures, I will post the rest after Christmas(hint Grandparents, you are getting pictures of your kids this year!) So you can see the rest.. these just make me laugh.

ready to party!
Clara and EJ.. these girls are so much alike, EJ loves Clara and enjoyes getting all of her hand me downs! Joy the clown was there today, EJ was first in teh chair to get her "Butterfly princess face"

Happy Birthday to sweet Brock. Zach and Jen have been friends since they were five. She was his first girlfriend, and knows him better than anyone... I have to say it is the only girlfriend he has had that I adore (and he had a lot!) and love more every year. It is so nice to see the kids grow up together just as they did... Brock is now 5,( So hard to believe.) He is the most intelligent, articulate, hysterical, loving boy and has a way of making you feel so special at the age of 5.. he is an old soul in a very young body. Jen out did her self and I am pretty sure bribed the fireman at the local station with food to bring out their truck and ambulance and let the kids play on them/in them.. it was great. Hard birthday to follow....What 5 yr old does not want a firetruck and a bunch of fireman at their party?!
