The JOYS of Christmas Cards

Running away with an evil grin bc she did not want to take a picture! The tears were about to begin... LOVE picture day!
NOT cooperating, it is the EJ show!
Looks so sweet right?! IF you only knew he was squeezing her and they were and screaming a few seconds later! This means you have a great photographer!

Do you just love Christmas cards?! I do, in fact I get so excited to see how much everyone has grown and how cute the cards are (do not even send one if there are not pictures!)... but we all know it is a joke! At least in my house! Christmas card pictures and family pictures are usually the worst day of the year for us. This year was slightly better than our last Family picture but not by much. EJ screamed the entire time, hated her outfit, threw a fit, Wyatt did pretty good.. but did not want to exactly cooperate all of the time with his sister. I look at the pictures and think, "How cute, then I remember the hell of that morning getting that cute picture!" And then there are Christmas letters, I love them, but do not do them.. What and I really going to write about... how perfect my kids are? Or better, how perfect our family is and what good parents Zach and I are?! We can all have a good laugh at that one. I still love to tell when I took EJ in for her well check the Dr. asked me if she knew 25 words, " I replied bad words or good words?" She is my pistol. Wyatt has the best way of making first impressions lately.. he acts like he has lost all bodily function and throws himself on the ground( and he thinks that is hysterical) or my other favorite ...starts acting like a dog and crawling around on the ground. Do you think he is expressing genius material?! Probably, why I do not do Christmas letters. He is 4 everyone says it was the terrible twos, then threes and they get better at 4... really?! When?! We love our life, would not change it for the world but we are by no means perfect or what people to think we are...We try to love like Jesus, and have to admit is hard most days... but we start over everyday with the same attitude.

These are a few of the pictures, I will post the rest after Christmas(hint Grandparents, you are getting pictures of your kids this year!) So you can see the rest.. these just make me laugh.

Happy Birthday Brock

Fireman Wyatt.

Hud, Wyatt and Davis sitting in the ambulance.
Waiting to go outside to see the trucks... waiting is hard to do!

Love Hudson's face!
Nini showed up to say Happy Birthday...

The firetruck was amazing... so detailed. Ej and wyatt on the back of the truck..

ready to party!
Clara and EJ.. these girls are so much alike, EJ loves Clara and enjoyes getting all of her hand me downs! Joy the clown was there today, EJ was first in teh chair to get her "Butterfly princess face"

Happy Birthday to sweet Brock. Zach and Jen have been friends since they were five. She was his first girlfriend, and knows him better than anyone... I have to say it is the only girlfriend he has had that I adore (and he had a lot!) and love more every year. It is so nice to see the kids grow up together just as they did... Brock is now 5,( So hard to believe.) He is the most intelligent, articulate, hysterical, loving boy and has a way of making you feel so special at the age of 5.. he is an old soul in a very young body. Jen out did her self and I am pretty sure bribed the fireman at the local station with food to bring out their truck and ambulance and let the kids play on them/in them.. it was great. Hard birthday to follow....What 5 yr old does not want a firetruck and a bunch of fireman at their party?!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Turkey project made.. It is so nice to have grandparents in town where they can see and join in on the kids parties and projects. Mom had to work when I was young so she is making it all up now with Wyatt and EJ.. She takes on a project and runs with it. She and Wyatt were the first ones done with the turkey project, you would of thought it was a mission! I love that she gets this time with Wyatt.. and Wyatt of course LOVES his Meema time.

My little turkeys.. yes, this is the last year for Wyatt to wear embroidered shirts! I realize he is 4 going on 5.. but it is hard to admit they are growing up!

Meema and Wyatt at Wyatt's school party
Handsome Boys.. Wyatt was not exactly cooperating for picttures!
Dancing girl

Play me a song Mr. Piano man...
Beautiful Girl!

Happy Turkey Day! We had a wonderful meal, wonderful day of relaxing and very Thankful for all the blessings in our lives. We are so thankful for our faith, family (especially a husband who works so hard to support us) , health, the many many people who spent their holiday protecting our freedom.... Just live a blessed life.

At the age of 2.5 and 4.5 I asked each one what they are thankful for....
Emily June what she is thankful for "Tinkerbell and Steak"
Wyatt said, "Airplanes and Jay (his best friend)" Sweet.

We did go see Tangled, EJ loved it.. Wyatt asked when are we going home after he ran out of popcorn and 15 minutes in the movie. So we are very excited to see Cars 2 come out this summer where they both will enjoy the movie! I did not join in the madness of Black Friday shopping, I am fortunate to have everything down thanks to the Internet! I love having it done! Now on to decorating for Christmas and remembering why we celebrate! I love Christmas!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Another year full of blessings....To the best husband and Daddy.. we love you more everyday! Thanks for loving us and supporting us. Happy 35! Thank you Skeet and Nini for another wonderful birthday meal!
Blowing out the candles... This is the first year I could buy a "3" and "5" for Zach and use them for EJ turning "3" and Wyatt "5."

counting the quarters papa pulled out of his ears. He had a lot of money in there! (not wonder he cannot hear me when I tell him to pick up his toys!)
Happy Birthday Daddy!
Wyatt showing Daddy the card he made....
Handsome Zach, EJ, and Skeet

(Thank you Dommie! Every year she gives you a check for the amount of your age... This year the biggest one yet, $35!)

More Halloween fun... more sweets!

2 snow whites! Mrs. H and EJ..
Wyatt's classlove the flamingo! (wyatt was dressed up, but got hot in Music and changed... )
Dirt cakes and gummy spiders!
Skeet and Nini joined in on the celebration.

Oh Halloween fun... school parties, parties with friends.. lots of sugar and fun! The Johnson's invited us to the Monster Mash they threw last night and it was so much fun! DJ's, face painting, pumpkin painting, cooking decorating.. what more can a kid ask for?! (I hope to get some pictures later to post... ) Emily June was on the dance floor all night, Wyatt was far from it! (so Zach and so me!) They were precious, all the kids (and the parents) had a great time.

I did get EJ's shots this week... finally! She was only 2 years behind.. Yes, she is only 2 1/2! I just have procrastinated bc she passes out, quits breathing every time she gets a shot. I have been praying she would not do it this time and God is awesome.. she just screamed in her highest pitch voice.. which means she is breathing! She is now 75% in height and weight.. last year she was 100% in height and 50% weight.. so we are not growing as fast and getting heavier.. welcome to my struggle!!! She is healthy and we are so blessed! (even if the appt took 3 hrs.)
