Thank you Daniel Crabtree.. Happy Memorial Day

RIP
The workout was 50 pullups... (see zach on the bar in the background) run 400, then 21 Thrusters (the bar I have then pushing it over your head) back to running 800M, then another 21 thrusters, 400 meters, and finally 50 pullups. Pullups are so hard for me, so it takes me forever... but a good feeling when you are done!

Zach smoked me... he is doing really well and super competetive!

I am a few days late, but mainly bc my fingers have been unable to operate.. just like the rest of my body! Monday we did a "hero" working in honor of a fallen solider. Crossfit has several hero workouts and you know when it is a hero day you cannot complain, and you have to finish. This workout was dedicated to Army Sgt. 1st class Daniel Crabtree who was killed in Al Kut, Iraq on Thursday June 8th, 2006 when a roadside bomb exploded next to his vehicle during a combat patrol. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, his daughter, Mallory, and his parents, Ronald and Judy Ann Crabtree. So many times we let holidays pass by and never think twice about the meaning and what our soldiers are doing for us. I am so thankful to all the families that has sacrificed for our freedom. This workout was particular hard for me, today I am at my mom's house soaking in a bath tub. My body is in pain. Everytime I raise my arm, I think about Daniel and his little girl he left behind who will never have the opportunity to know her Daddy. Sounds crazy, but this Memorial Day made me really thankful.

SO, since I cannot move literally... I have been a bad mom today. I had the best intentions of getting out, going on a walk, to the park, then a picnic back home. I can say we made it to the park for 30 minutes. I feel a little guilty laying on the floor..allowing the kids to watch TV while I pray for nap time so I can rest too! Pathetic! So today I hope to put together a list of Wednesday playdates this summer... we are going to have to be creative and make sure we are out of the house and away from the TV!

I think that is awesome! That is some workout! I'm proud of you! I'm not sure I could do 5 pull ups! Ha, ha! We need to get together before I go back to VA! Let's try to plan a day for lunch or something!
