Dancing on stage... all by myself while everyone else is watching ME!
Dancing with Sleeping Beauty
Oh! Cinderella!
Waiting for my turn
Beautiful girl painted like a princess!

How many hours of Television can your children watch without loosing brain cells? I think we have tested the limit this week. It has been a week of cold weather and sick kids! Not much else to do... I miss our beautiful West Texas weather.. especially this week. This week we did wake up to a beautiful morning with 4" of snow on the ground.. I was the bad mom who did not let their kids get out and play in it. We have been battling sinus infections, coughing, and whatever else that comes in this house so I knew it would be a set back. How selfish am I? We did make snow ice cream and eat a lot of snow! School was canceled so we had 4 days of inside play days this week! AHHH! People often say, " How can you be a stay at home mom?" and I never understood where they were coming from until this week..I have been home all week! Being a stay at home mom does not mean you are "at home!"
Regarless we are on the mend and hopefully off to a wonderful week next week and of good health.

A sweet friend called and asked June and me to join them for a "Princess tea" this morning and I thought she would be a little too young.. WRONG! She loved everything about it.. especially the dancing. She is so not me. She loved getting dressed up, getting on stage dancing and was not the least bit shy with the princesses. Wyatt and Daddy had a "boys" morning bc he could nto understand why he could not go to the princess tea.. but he got to pick out his favorite restaurant and to no ones surprise they are eating at Micheals... (which has hundreds of airplanes hanging from the ceiling..) I told Zach it is so much better than McDonalds! It has been a good Saturday with two amazing kids!

Oh and I did forget to mention I had my eyes done this week.. I can see perfectly thanks to Dr. Ingram! For the first time in my life I can see... especially at night. It scares me to think how bad my vision has been (with contacts in) and I have been driving around with two kids! So, highly recommend it.... I have one more week of "recovery" than I can sleep without my goggles (although I think Zach kind of likes it!) and wear make up. Best gift my mom could of given me! Thanks mom for my sight!

My real live baby Wyatt

June pushing baby Wyatt and feeding him dog bones
Giving him a "sassy" and hugging her baby

June has really started to turn into a little girl. She loves her dolls, loves to take care of them, dress them, feed them (usually dog bones) and change their diaper.. today she had her own live doll.. Baby Wyatt. I am just thrilled they are playing together!

Happy Valentine's Day

New love on Valentine's DAy.. Dad and Pam
This is the look I received when I told Emily June she would have to wait to eat her candy!
Beautiful girl before her Valentine Party

Papa with the kids
My ladies man.
Ahhh Painting a Valentine picture at school. EJ LOVES to paint.. however, she is the messiest painter I have ever scene so I hate to get it all out at home. Thank goodness for MDO. Although, last week she came in and said, "Mommy I painted the TV.!" I walked in there and she literally had toothpaste covering the TV and toothpaste EVERYWHERE! I said, " where did you get the toothpaste?" her reply, " Your drawer.. do you like my pictures?!" Thank goodness Zach was not around... apparently the week before they painted with toothpaste at school with respect to dental week!
I am so Sassy.. this reminds me so much of my Emily growing up. Dressed up and loving every minute of it!

Family picture take one...

We had a wonderful Valentines week. The kids has parties at school and we have enough candy to put Halloween to shame! With chocolate being my weakness, not a good thing! I have to say the kids party favors are much different than when I was a kid. I remember we use to make a shoe box and everyone would put their Valentine in the box and it was so much fun to see who gave you what Valentine. I remember picking out each one and addressing each Valentine. Now, you take the Valentines (with no names on them) and literally both of the kids bags were filled with goodies, teddy bears, candy, clappers... it was crazy! They love it though. The only bad thing is I have the kids at two different places and the parties are always at the same time. Skeet and Nini filled in for me at Wyatt's and were the hit! So thankful to have family in town and so involved with the kids. Valentine's Day on Sunday just means you get to celebrate it all weekend long! Today, I am detoxing from sugar (that is the goal at least) and hope to get back us all back on a healthy eating schedule.

I have to say I am still very spoiled with my mom sending me beautiful flowers, Dad gave me my favorite candy, and Pam a wonderful Mommy gift basket.. topped off with a bottle of wine called, "Mommy's time out!" I love having so many wonderful people in my life. (Have I mentioned Pam and my Dad are dating?! ) IT was an even better Valentine's Day because I have not scene my dad so happy in a LONG time.... it has to do with my sweet friend Pam.. who is now my Dad's girlfriend. People ask me if it is weird.. and I say, " As long as he does not hurt her, bc she is the sweetest thing and I love her dearly!" So, no pressure Dad! It is just a good feeling to see your parents happy, despite everything that has happened in the last few years. The roles definitely change when you get older where now, I worry about them!

Fair Warning

My sweet mom was so generous in giving me the gift of lasic eye surgery for Christmas. She knew I would never do it on my own and I am as blind as a bat.. especially at night! Today I went for my consultation to see if I was a candidate and apparently a perfect one.. Healthy eyeballs.. but bad vision! So I get my date and realize it is a little more of a procedure than I thought. Everyone says you go in and they are done in 30 seconds.. true.... but they do not tell you that you cannot wear your contacts a week before and no makeup of any kind TWO weeks afterwards. It is not going to be a pretty month for me. I am warning you now! My glasses are so out dated that that week alone will be an adjustment. I think I might feel like I am on the biggest makeover come March!

Weekly recap

Where are my kids?!
Here we are!
Silly faces
Papa gave Wyatt his first football helmet.. not sure if he will put it back on, it was a struggle getting it off over his ears! Although, not a bad idea when trying t teach him how to ride his bike with no training wheels!
o
Miss Abby- Emily sent EJ her Abby princess outfit for her birthday, she immediately put it on and wore it everywhere.. she takes after Emily already.
(Yes, that is a pacifier...hope Dr. Nabulsi never reads my blogs!)

What a week.. we have all been under the weather so hopefully we are on the road to recovery. I cannot get my energy level back to normal and with a 2 and 3 yr old that is not a good combination. Regardless I have decided we need a behavior sticker chart.. Wyatt apparently does not listen at CBS, he is to busy playing with his buddy Jay. They get so excited seeing each other they apparently have no regard for anyone else....so here comes the behavior chart. The same day I was putting the chart together I had a kid cut through our side street to miss a light, and got on my bumper and flipped me off while trying to pull in my driveway. Normally, I would let it go.. but after having dealing with a 3 yr old attitude all week, I thought, "Oh, he knows better." So I pulled back out and followed him home. He had MHS soccer stickers all over his car... He came over and I asked him why he flipped me off and his reply was "You cut me off." (hardly!) So, I asked him if that is how he deals with all situations, "flipping off people with two small kids in the car and riding their bumper?" I was furious.. never raised my voice... but I am trying so hard to teach a 3 yr old manners and the thought of Wyatt growing up and being so disrespectful just set me off. So Zach called the MHS soccer coach (who is a friend) and said he would take care of it. So am I loosing my mind.. quite possibly! This parenting job is just getting harder and harder. Some days I feel like I have failed.. overwhelmed and then there are those moments where you are so proud and it makes it all alright!

I revised my church bitch session.. realized I should not type when I am angry! I do need to mention June has figured out how to climb out of her crib at night and wants to sleep with Wyatt. IS this alright? Wyatt was well over 3 before we had to deal with the big boy bed.. but June seems to break the mold.. so I guess we need to get rid of the crib and officially call her a big girl. The thought that your children are past baby beds is sad... I guess they really are growing up.

Divine Intervention

We have a great group of friends and Thursday we all went bowling. The bowling alley is an interesting place.. even in Midland, Texas! After you get use to the cloud of smoke, you start to look around and think, "Is Ashton here, are we on Punked?" We had a couple next to us that enjoyed making out... I will have to get the pictures from Josh. I look over and see him filming the couple and Jenn looks up and says, "That is hot!" Two girls making out is always entertaining. Then we hear someone over the microphone in a monotone voice say, "Is there a Doctor in the house, we have a baby choking." I think we were the only group that seemed to panic. My heart stopped. There was a precious little girl- 3 months old choking and no one doing anything. She was still upright and is distress. Diane and Jenn ran over literally turned her upside down and started pounding on her back. After a while something came loose.. and she was fine. It was a moment of panic for me bc choking is always been a huge fear of mine with teh kids. You would think the rest of the bowling alley would of been concerned.. but they continued bowling and did nto miss a beat. The sad thing, the baby should not of been in a cloud filled smokey bowling alley and they continued to stay.. I guess there was an important game to finish! Regardless, later I thought of a how everything does happen for a reason. I really think Diane and Jenn made a huge difference that night... especially considering none of us have been to the bowling alley before. We always have a great time with friends and always have good stories, I am so thankful we were there at the right time.

Playing with Daddy.

Hard to believe, but true.. June is 2! I am sitting her typing her blog and she is telling her daddy to "rub her feet" and "tickle me daddy!" She is so funny. Last I was listening to her go to sleep singing. "Jesus loves the children... red, ak, lello, in his igt." She loves music! He has her purse and new lipstick in hand and is such a little girl! We had her birthday at a local gym. I paniced when Zach walked in and said, " oh, they are already set up for you? There is another party in there?" Apparently, the gym double booked. The owner is out of town and the girls helping had no idea what to do! We had the reservation, but this little girl was there with her leotard on thinking it was her birthday too so we made the best of it. There was only 5 kids in there party and about 25 in ours so we overtook and had a great time. I was just thankful they did not double book with a boys 5 yr old party, that would of been a disaster! I tried to keep it focuses on June this year and just invite her little friends, it seems she ususally is the one tagging along with the older boys.. so it was a pink party for her. Everyone had a great time, Wyatt had some of his friends there and they did really well at being gentle with the little ones. A good time by all! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and so glad everyone came out to celebrate with us!

Last night it was all about the boys.. Zach, Skeet and Wyatt went to the motorcross rally in Odessa... and had a great time. I was worried it would be really loud, but Wyatt loved the action.. until he ran out of popcorn! The funny thing about Wyatt is he can be entertained with junk food he will go to the movie and is ready to go when he is out of popcorn and sprite. Could care less about the movie. Last time we had a birthday party with cheetos, my kids were like wild monkeys devouring them with orange fingers... where all the other kids were playing and bouncing. I guess that is a good thing we do not have a whole lot of junk around the house!
