If you ever wanted to get back a those friends or family who gave you the toy that drives you crazy.. I have it. The crazy singing, quacking, spinning, egg laying duck. I can say this bc my dear sweet friend Jennifer Stevens gave Wyatt his duck last year and cannot disappear. He loves the silly duck and every time I put it up, he will ask about it. Now, June has taken to the duck and she loves the eggs as they pop out. Jenn we love you dearly, but I think your first born might be getting a drum set! JK

We went to see Dr. Nabulsi this morning and Wyatt has tonsillitis.. which answers why he has not been eating the last two days. We finally got on some meds so hopefully we will be back in school before mommy goes crazy. June seems fine, but I am sure she is next in line. I keep going to flat bellies to get wheat grass shots and drinking acai berry drinks to stay well.. so far so good.

The adorable hat June has on was made by her sweet second cousin Tinsley. We do not see her often enough, but she is always so thoughtful of June and makes her the most adorable things. Thank you Tinsley! She loves it, it is the only hat, bow, headband she does not take off!

June getting into another drawer... it seems she thinks everything has to be opened and explored... not to mention rearranged. Forget organization.

Another good weekend.. Although, I am ready for "cold" season to be over with. One of things I do not enjoy so much as a mother is wiping snot all day long! Which means I kept them home from school last week and inside so we have had a lot of bonding time. It is fun to watch the kids interact now because Wyatt really is starting to "play" with June. When I say "play" I mean he still bit her last week for messing up his line of cars, but he likes her around. He shares his toys with her (which is huge!) and he loves to try and be the big brother and discipline her as well... that has not gone so well. They are just as such a fun age... June is mobile and exploring everything. She rearranges my bathroom drawers every morning and loves to see what she can get into. The look on her face when she finds something new is priceless. Wyatt is growing up too, he is getting so much better about telling us when he needs to go "potty." We are a long way away from full big boy pants.. but much closer than we were. Potty training is not fun and there is not an easy method, no matter what anyone says!

Friday we had an impromptu get together at my girlfriend Laura's house... the kids played so well together and I feel so fortunate to have such good girlfriends and "mommy" support. Laura is only weeks away from her baby #3.. all 2 and under so it was nice to get together before the sleepless nights start all over again. I admire her strength and desire to have all three under 2! I know it will be worth every minute and after a few years it will be so much easier, but I can hardly get my kid to sleep thru the night and she will be one this week! So, I do not think I am cut out for 3... ! As an only child two is a challenge and still overwhelming at times.

I posted the pictures of my dad above bc he comes down on a daily basis.. he never comes empty handed. As you can see he brings "junk" every time he comes and I cannot figure out why I have put on 5 lbs since Christmas.. it is usually the other way around. The kids look forward to Papa's visits and love all the attention.

My angel girl....

My sweet June is on the verge of turning one, and it makes me sad. I cannot believe how quick she has grown up. She is now walking and trying to talk. She is really good at "bubba", "daddy", "Papa", "duck", "bird", "mamma", and "bye bye." That is all we understand although she tries to have a conversation with you. She is such a doll during the day, but at night is a different story.. she will not go to sleep. She refuses and fights it every night.. we got spoiled with Wyatt. She loves her brother and any attention she gets. We are so blessed and cannot begin to say how much joy she (and Wyatt) have brought into our lives... I cannot believe she is about to be one.

This week I had a mini vacation. Zach was at school for a couple of days in Ft Worth, so I got to spend the night with my mom. Never growing up did I know how much I would love and appreciate my mom...( I guess now is a good time to apologize for all the back talking and poor decisions I made!) Her husband was out of town too, so we had a wonderful girls night. It is so nice to have help with the kids, order your favorite meal, have a glass of wine, take a long bubble bath (since we do not have tub at our house) , and fall asleep watch in HGTV. Thanks mom!

Productive Weekend.. for Zach at least!

Whew.. the week is over and off to a new one. Last week was rough, Zach's company that he has been working for disappeared! They pulled all their projects and closed the Midland office so he has a new challenge this week on his own. He has been busy all weekend in the garage.. I should of taken a before pictures bc it looks sooo much better. He has always wanted a "man" garage and his dream garage is super clean and super organized, so he is on his way. Holt and Laura are remodeling their home so they ripped out all the old cabinets and Zach was right there to pick them up with his man garage in mind. He went today to Lowes and painted them gray, black and a touch of red.. I have to admit, I am impressed. I think he wishes I would keep the house that clean and organized... but with 2 little ones it is not happening!

Well, yesterday we (and Papa) took Wyatt to the Rodeo for the first time. I am relieved that he was not the least bit interested in the events, but the trucks in the parking lot and tractors that leveled the dirt. I really did not want him to come home and say " I want to ride bulls!" He did get scared at the clown driving the motorcycle.. that might be a scary concept for a 2 yr old to grasp! HE also ate everything in site.. cotton candy, popcorn, coke, candy, etc.. Papa needless to say has just as bad of a sweet tooth so the two of them together is trouble. Meanwhile, June stayed with Meema and had a good time herself. Mom sent me this picture this morning, she had her own sweets at Meema's with a chocolate Popsicle.

Is it me or is this a long week?!

Well the week after a long vacation is challenging! It seems the kids do not want to listen to anything! Wyatt even got in trouble today at school, which breaks my heart. Apparently, during snack time he tried to eat everyone elses snack at his table, so he had to sit by himself. I asked him what they had that was so good to not listen to Ms. Tawya and he said "cake." I hate to say he is a kid after my own heart, but cake is a favorite in the doss house. Speaking of food, Zach and I have commited to eating heatlhy... I have never made and eaten so healthy in my life, so I stepped on the scale today and I have gained 5 lbs! What is this? Zach has lost 5 already and I have gained? I am about to go back to having a glass of wine and chocolate everynight. I know it is a little noticeable after I ask Zach and he says, "I like you with a little meat on your bones." Not what girls want to hear!

It is hard to believe June will be one in a few months.. she is so much fun. Her smile lights up a room.. and she has her daddy wrapped around her finger. When Wyatt turned one we had a big party and I wanted everything perfect... The sad thing is he does not remember and I was so busy worrying about everything I did nto even take pictures. So June is the typical second child, she tags along with Wyatt everywhere so her friends are Wyatt's. After CBS we go to Chucky Cheese on Wednesdays , so I thought I woudl just take pink cupcakes up there and call it good. Well yesterday while we were there she saw the "Mouse" and was terrified of it. For some reason she is scared of monkeys and now the Chucky Cheese mouse... so there goes that idea! Did I mention I swore off CC before I had kids?! Look how far I have come! Back to cupcakes at the house with family. I need to practice my super club dinner so I think I will do that for birthday and invite family. I am looking forward to the pink princess party one day.. but one day where she will remember it!

The jeep thing has caught on! Brock received one for his birthday and of coarse Zach and Holt do not want Locker and Wyatt to have a smaller/slower jeep so this is what happens.. the three amigos! Zach, Holt and Ryan took the boys out to Holt's ranch to let them ride and Wyatt literally wore the battery out. They had a blast... I have a feeling this will not be the first time they are racing and getting into things... I hate to see what they are doing when they turn 16... we will have armored trucks by then!

The girls meanwhile had a wonderful morning at Jenn's.. Laura and I sat at the bar while Jenn cooked and served us.. the nice thing is Laura and I enjoy sitting and talking while Jenn cannot sit still.. so it work out great. Sam and June played and enjoyed the time of not having their brothers steal all of their toys. Laura is really starting to feel the last final months of her pregnancy.. I cannot imagine being pregnant right now with a 1 yr old and a 2 yr old... so keep her in your prayers that she makes it to deliver a healthy Annie Grace.
